Grzegorz Hańderek

visual artist, curator, university professor. In his work, he focuses on processes carried out both individually—resulting, among other things, in drawing-installations based on bodily experiences of matter—and collectively: by initiating events at the intersection of art, social space, and the public ecosystem. His projects interweave multifaceted experiences, traces, and forms of expression from both human and non-human entities, exploring art as a relational medium.

A graduate of the University of Silesia and the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, where, together with Małgorzata Szandała, he co-leads the Studio of Art in the Expanded Field. Since 2020, he has served as Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.
